National Luohe economic and Technological Development Zone National Luohe economic and Technological Development Zone (hereinafter referred to as Luohe economic and Technological Development Zone) is a bright pearl inlaid on the Bank of Shali river. It is located in the southeast of Luohe City, Henan Province, a "famous food city in China". It is the only National Development Zone in Luohe City, Henan Province.

Historical evolution

Luohe economic development zone was founded in 1992, approved by the provincial government as a provincial high-tech zone in 1994, renamed Henan Luohe Economic Development Zone in 2007, and upgraded to a national economic and Technological Development Zone in 2010 with the approval of the State Council.

The national Luohe economic and Technological Development Zone has a total planning area of 48 square kilometers and a built-up area of 13 square kilometers. It governs the Management Office of Houxie town and Xiangjiang Road, 38 administrative villages (neighborhood committees) and a total population of nearly 100000.

As a window and business card of Luohe City's opening to the outside world, the development zone has attracted a large number of domestic and foreign businessmen to invest in the zone by virtue of its good traffic location advantages and perfect infrastructure. It has initially formed an industrial pattern with food as the leading industry and four major industries of hydraulic technology, new materials and modern service industry competing for development.

There are 700 food industry clusters represented by Shuanghui group, Hong Kong Swire Coca Cola, Cargill, COFCO, Taiwan Wangwang, Taiwan uni president and Pingping food. The added value of food industry accounts for more than 70% of the industrial added value of the whole region. The hydraulic technology industry represented by Litong hydraulic and Huilong hydraulic has developed rapidly, and has become the largest hydraulic hose industry in China Manufacturing and R & D base; new material industry represented by the production of single crystal silicon rod, silicon wafer, sapphire, semiconductor and silicic acid of GCL group and Sinosteel research group is rising rapidly; more than 100 commercial logistics groups represented by Shuanghui logistics, Yuantong express, Wanbang logistics and Lida logistics are developing rapidly.

In 2018, in accordance with the requirements of "extending the industrial chain, enhancing the value chain, and building the supply chain", the Development Zone started to build a food and packaging machinery industrial park covering an area of 2 square kilometers, focusing on opening up the food industry and equipment manufacturing industry, cultivating the food machinery industry, and building a new growth pole outside the four industries.
