Head down and wings down - chuí tóu tā chì

act in a just and generous manner - kāng kǎi zhàng yì

ordinary townspeople - shì jǐng zhī chén

croaks of frogs and chirp of cicadas - wā míng chán zào

kill a chicken before a monkey.  - shā jī jǐng hóu

spend months and years - qióng nián lěi shì

a few cuffs and kicks - sān quán liǎng jiǎo
