Rowing boxing, also known as guessing boxing, was first seen in Huangfu song's "drunken sun and moon" in Tang Dynasty, and later in poems and novels.

Usually, two people in a group, hand mouth heart with the same to complete. To put it simply: two people face to face and hold out a hand at the same time. The clenched fist and one to five outstretched fingers represent the numbers from zero to five respectively, and the number from zero to ten should be called out at the same time. If the sum of the numbers indicated by the fingers held out by two people is the same as the number called out by one of them, then the person wins. For example, if a points out four fingers, B points out three fingers, a shouts seven, B shouts six, then a is the winner; if C points out his clenched fist (meaning zero), he shouts four, and D points out four fingers, but he shouts seven, then the winner is C.

In detail, the following rules should be followed in boxing:

(1) Extend your finger and shout out the number at the same time.

(2) Add the numbers indicated by the outstretched fingers of both sides. If one person shouts the same number as the number of fists, it is a win.

(3) The number of shouts must be more than the index of the outstretched hand and less than the number added to five. For example, if a person has outstretched three fingers, he must shout more than three or less than eight; if he has outstretched five fingers, he must shout more than five or less than ten. If he shouts "Nine" but sticks out one finger, then the opponent can't make up nine even if he sticks out five fingers. This kind of fist is called smelly fist. If it's not agreed in advance, he will be punished for drinking.

(4) Although thumb and index finger indicate two, they also indicate "gun pointing at man", which is a taboo action in boxing. Out of two, the thumb and any finger except the index finger can be used to represent.

(5) When you punch, you'd better keep your thumb up and point at the other side to show respect.
