Arouse the true feelings of the heart, mutual understanding and accommodation

When people quarrel, both sides are in a state of irrationality. If the person persuading them to comment on their merits, it is easy to deepen their contradiction. If we can recall the past with them and arouse their true feelings from the heart, we may make the two sides truly understand each other.

Two siblings had a dispute over their parents' legacy. As we discussed the matter over dinner, the two sisters quarreled again and refused to give in to each other. The elder sister pretended to ignore their quarrel, sighed and said to herself:

The older sister said, "take a bite first, younger sister." the younger sister said, "take a bite first, elder sister."

With that, the elder sister choked up, and the two sisters also shed tears. A dispute over inheritance was resolved.

The elder sister is smart. If she wants to divide the property on a case by case basis to resolve the quarrel and contradiction between the two sisters, it will only become more and more difficult. Maybe the two sisters will have opinions on the elder sister. The elder sister recalled the true feelings of the two sisters before, and recalled the warm memories of the two sisters, so that the contradiction was successfully resolved.
