The predecessor of Heilongjiang police vocational college is Heilongjiang political and legal cadre school and Heilongjiang People's police school. The school was established in 1946 to train police officers of public security, politics and law. In 1978, secondary vocational education began, and from 1984 to 1989, six-year specialized courses (trace examination and criminal investigation) were held. From 1998 to 2003, he cooperated with Heilongjiang University in running a school and established the police officer college of Heilongjiang University.
