Chen Academy

Chen ancestral hall is the ancestral hall building of Qing Dynasty in China. Originally known as Chen's Academy. At Zhongshan 7th Road, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province. The temple is a representative folk building in late Qing Dynasty, which is well preserved in Guangdong. In 1988, the State Council of the people's Republic of China announced it as a national key cultural relics protection unit. Chen ancestral hall was built in 1888 and 1894, covering an area of 15000 square meters. The main building consists of five three entrances, nine halls and six courtyards, with a construction area of 6400 square meters. Taking the gate, Juxian hall and back seat as the central axis, through Qingyun lane, corridor, veranda and courtyard, the building group is composed of 19 buildings. Each single building is independent and interconnected.

Academy renovation

As a cultural relic protection and tourism spot, and in view of the strategic location of the Academy, its expansion plans often take this factor into account. He said the Council plans to hold Chinese music performances regularly (possibly once a week) to attract tourists and local people.
