Wen Yiduo's former residence

Wen Yiduo's former residence is located in the northeast corner of the campus of Ocean University of China, No.5 Yushan Road, Shinan District, Qingdao City, Shandong Province. The building was built in the early 20th century, with southern European architectural style, brick and stone structure, two floors above the ground, basement and attic. The roof is in a four side slope shape, covering an area of 214 square meters and a building area of 607 square meters. Wen Yiduo lives in a house in the South with an area of about 20 square meters. In August 1930, he applied to Qingdao to be the dean of the school of Arts and the head of the Chinese Department of Qingdao University. He lived in this building until the summer of 1932, so this building is also called "Yiduo building".

In 1984, Qingdao Ocean University opened the building as an exhibition room of Wen Yiduo's former residence. There is a statue of Wen Yiduo in front of the building and an inscription written by his student Zang Kejia. The former residence is now a key cultural relic protection unit in Qingdao.

Wen Yiduo (1899-1946), formerly known as Wen Jiahua, is also known as duo, Yiduo and Yiduo, with the word Yousan and Youshan. He is a great patriot in modern China, a firm democratic fighter, an early leader of the China Democratic Alliance, a close friend of the Communist Party of China, a poet and a scholar. The new moon school represents the poet, is a special patriotic person.
