Guomari Temple

It's not far from wutunxia temple. After crossing the Longwu River and climbing a high slope, you enter a village of earth rock structure -- guomari Tu village: This is a village where Tu people gather in Tongren County. In the village of guomari, walls with cow dung and exposed stone walls can be seen everywhere, which are very Turkish and Islamic in style. The village is generally a closed circular structure, with each small home as a small unit. Passing through guomari village, you will see a magnificent pagoda on the top of the slope, which is guomari Shilun pagoda. Guomari Shilun tower is known as "the first tower of Amdo". There are five floors in total. At the bottom of the tower is a circle of corridor. The corridor of each floor is not spacious. Looking down from the top of the tower and basking in the sun is a very pleasant thing.

Guomari Temple

Guomari temple is called "guomari kardan Pengcuolin" in Tibetan, which means "guomari has a happy life in Manchuria". Located 5 kilometers north of Tongren County, Qinghai Province, it is the subordinate Temple of yeshijiang living Buddha. It was first built in the Wanli period of Ming Dynasty. According to the history of Anduo politics and religion, in the year of Tieji (suspected to be 1741) of Tibetan calendar, yeshijiang living Buddha built a three story Maitreya hall in the temple, which initiated the praying ceremony in the first month and became the living Buddha in charge of the temple.

Development history

In history, in addition to yeshijiang Buddha, there are also guomaricang, kanbucang, longwucang and other living Buddhas. Among them, Guo maricang is the second living Buddha. The first was the son of Lama ranbudan, the head of guomari village. He was the first xiaxiacang Gadan Jiacuo disciple. The monk moved the temple to the present site. The second was Zhihua Jiacuo, a native of Zhuolong village, who rebuilt the Sutra hall and expanded the Dharma protection hall. The third was chejijiacuo, a native of guomari village. The fourth was awanzasi, a native of guomari village, who was the King Kong Master of Longwu temple. The fifth was Gendun Jiacuo is a native of Guide county; the sixth luosangdanzengjiacuo, a native of hayihe tribe in Qinghai Lake area, once served as the fatai of Longwu temple; the seventh luosangqun, peilonggajiacuo, a fellow of previous generations, once served as the Kanbu of Shilun College of Longwu temple, and died in 1958.

Temple scale

Before 1958, guomari temple had one Sutra hall, one Maitreya hall and one Dharma protection hall, 209 angqian courtyards and 105 monk houses, covering an area of nearly 100 mu. There were 305 monks, 250 horses, 400 cattle and 3000 sheep. The original Sutra hall, Maitreya hall and angqian courtyard are preserved. After the approval of opening up in 1981, the new longwucang and kanbucang have one courtyard each, with more than 40 monasteries. At present, there are 72 monks in the temple. Yeshijiang living Buddha is still the leader of the temple. There are also living Buddha longwucang and kanbucang, whose believers are mainly people in guomari village.
