Zhedong maritime Folklore Museum

Zhedong maritime folk custom museum is located in Qingan guild hall, Jiangdong North Road, Jiangdong District, Ningbo City. It was completed and opened in December 2001.

Located on the East Bank of Sanjiangkou, Qing'an guild hall, also known as Tianhou palace, was built in 1853 by yongbu Beiyang shippers. It is not only a temple for worshiping Tianhou Mazu, but also a place for industry gathering. It is one of the eight Tianhou palace and seven guild halls in China. The Qing'an guild hall is located in the West and faces the East. It covers an area of about 5000 square meters. Along the central axis, there are palace doors, instrument doors, front stage, back hall, front and back rooms.

Since 1997, Ningbo has invested about 10000000 yuan to renovate it. After renovation, the Qing'an folk hall, including brick carving, stone carving, Zhu Jin carving and other Ningbo folk craft essence, has reappeared the elegant traditional architecture of the Qing Dynasty.

Relying on the Qing'an guild hall, a national key cultural relic protection unit, the museum has a large-scale comic strip of Mingzhou and Mazu, a photo exhibition of Ningbo and the maritime Silk Road, a photo exhibition of finding treasures overseas for thousands of years, a real scene of Mazu sacrifice, Mazu and China red, etc.
