Deqing museum is a historical museum opened in December 2005. Deqing County Museum was founded in 1965, initially named Deqing County Heritage Museum, and renamed Deqing County Museum in 1977. It is a local comprehensive history museum. Work with Deqing cultural relics protection and management office.

Development history

Deqing County Museum was founded in 1965, initially named Deqing County Heritage Museum, and renamed Deqing County Museum in 1977. It is a local comprehensive history museum. The main functions of the office are cultural relics collection, collection, research and exhibition. It is responsible for cultural relics collection, archaeological exploration, protection and utilization of cultural relics and historical sites in Deqing County. The cultural relics in the collection started from the Neolithic Age in primitive society and ended in modern times. The main types of cultural relics are stone tools, ceramics, calligraphy and painting, jade, etc. The new building area of Deqing museum is 6000 square meters, including 2600 square meters of exhibition hall and nearly 5000 cultural relics. It was completed and opened in December 2005. Deqing Museum exhibition is divided into basic exhibition and temporary exhibition. The basic exhibition is entitled "living in the mountains and rivers of Wu and Yue", which is divided into three parts: "the collection of Wu and Yue's heroes from the history of the sea", "the folk customs of the water town in the dream", "the gathering of celebrities and the fragrance of calligraphy". More than 200 level-1, level-2 and level-3 cultural relics of Deqing from the Neolithic Age to the Ming and Qing Dynasties are displayed. The static display of cultural relics and the dynamic simulation of scenes complement each other by using sound, light and electricity technology, which outlines the development of Deqing's 7000 year history. It is a window for the masses, especially the teenagers, to carry out the education of historical materialism and patriotism.
