Baishuidong tourist area of Xinshao

Baishui cave is located in Gaoqiao Township, 12 kilometers north of Xinshao county. Baishui cave is not a cave, but the general name of a canyon scenic spot. The depth of the canyon is 10 kilometers. According to the place name records of Xinshao County, there are cast iron pavilions, pianshi nunnery, tidal absorbing rock, Hanbi temple, Dishuiyan, Yintao gorge, waterfall spring, mirror stone, Luoyan pool and so on in the cave, which are known as the ten scenic spots of Baishui. Moreover, there is Taohua nunnery in the south, which has been regarded as a scenic spot.

At present, there are more than 480 scenic spots, 30 first-class scenic spots, and 8 provincial and municipal key cultural relics. Among them, the well preserved ruins of the ancient battlefield of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, the ruins of the Anti Japanese War, and the former residences of celebrities such as Li Chendian, Liu cecheng, Liao Yaoxiang, Li Wen, and Li Gongwang add a strong historical and cultural color to the baishuidong scenic spot. Baishuidong scenic spot is in the embrace of Xiangzhong city group (Shaoyang, lengjiang, Lianyuan, Loudi).
