About the park

What ecological park devotes to or emphasizes is the maximization of comprehensive ecological quantity. In the aspect of ecology and environment, ecological park emphasizes the sense of participation in the ecological environment of the whole city, and advocates the purposeful and organized protection of the city's lung and biodiversity, the maintenance of natural ecological process, and the provision of physical and mental reconstruction places for citizens; In the aspect of social ecology, ecological parks emphasize the importance of service demand relationship, and are committed to meeting the fashionable and lasting needs of society, so as to provide help to maintain or improve the quality of people, the main body of social life; In the aspect of economic ecology, ecological parks recognize the rationality of conditional access to park economic benefits, and strive to maximize such benefits within a reasonable range. Therefore, the content of ecological park is different from that of Western Natural Park in the 20th century and China's ecological garden in the 1980s. At the same time, this concept is different from "modern city park" in time and connotation.

The latter is guided by recreation and aesthetics. The resulting form of park, the ecological amount of green space is small, lack of concern for the urban environment, also lack of pertinence and adaptability to the social and ecological needs formed under the new social and economic conditions, resulting in poor economic benefits. The landscape environment of traditional urban parks has certain ecological benefits, but it is not consciously organized, and the ecological quantity is far from the maximum. What it has is only the simple ecological thought of "botanical garden", which has not yet risen to the height of ecological theory and method.

The difference between ecological park and theme park (man-made landscape) lies in the removal of the adverse tendencies of the latter, such as excessive development intensity of park land, hard land, too much architectural layout, noisy environment, overflow of colonial culture and feudal superstition, and neglect of natural ecological benefits, caused by the one-sided pursuit of economic benefits.
