Northeast Corridor Bridge in Fujian

The Northeast Corridor Bridge in Fujian Province is located in Pingnan County, Shouning County, Zherong County, Gutian County and Wuyishan City in the northeast of Fujian Province. Among them, Wan'an bridge at the junction of Changqiao village and Xincun village in the southwest of Gufeng Town, Pingnan County, formerly known as Longjiang Gongji bridge, commonly known as Hongqiao bridge, was first built in Song Dynasty. It is a stone five pier six hole broken line wooden arch bridge, which was destroyed in 1588.

It was rebuilt in 1742, the seventh year of Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty. The bridge was named Wan'an bridge, which means the peace of the people. Also known as long bridge. It was destroyed by mountain torrents in 1952 and restored in the same year. The length, width and height are 97.4m, 4.8m and 9.7M respectively. The bridge deck is made of wood, with 37 galleries, 38 partitions and 152 columns. The wooden railings on both sides of the corridor are equipped with chairs and benches. Above the corridor, there is a bucket beam frame, flying eaves and shuttles. The roof is covered with green tiles. There is a plaque of "Wan'an bridge" at the end of the bridge. Yuqing bridge in the south of Chongcheng in Wuyishan City is commonly known as nanmenhua bridge. During the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1875-1908), Zhu, a squire, built the bridge after celebrating his mother's birthday. It is 79.2m long, 6.7m wide and 8.6m high. Two abutments, two piers and three holes, double curved wood stone arch bridge. The house on the bridge has a green tile roof, more than 100 wooden columns and 1.3-meter-high railings on both sides. The central bridge pavilion has a unique style. In 1931, Fang Zhimin led the red ten army to Fujian, where he once annihilated an enemy regiment. There are still red army slogans on the crossbeam of the bridge house.
