Youlong cave is a natural stacked stone cave under cuipingyan. It faces east to shizifeng and is several feet deep and wide. The cave is deep, broad and spacious, and can accommodate more than 20 people. Wang Chongyang, the founder of Quanzhen sect of Taoism, and his seven disciples are worshipped on the altar. Because the cave was dedicated to Laozi before Ming Dynasty, it was called Laojun cave. During the reign of Longqing in the Ming Dynasty (1567-1573), Zou Shan, a student of Shandong Province, visited Laoshan several times. He felt that the name of the cave was a bit vulgar. Yang Fangsheng, the magistrate of Jimo County who accompanied him, changed the name of the cave to "Youlong cave" according to the description of "Lao Jun, you long Ye" in historical records.
Youlong cave
[Youlong cave] under cuipingyan, Youlong cave is a natural stacked stone cave. It faces east to shizifeng and is several feet deep and wide. The cave, formerly known as Laojun cave, is dedicated to Laojun of Taishang, the five southern ancestors and the seven northern truths of Taoism. In the second year of Longqing (1568) of the Ming Dynasty, Zou Shan, a scholar from Shandong Province, came to visit Laoshan mountain. When he came here, he thought that the name of Laojun cave was not elegant enough. Yang Fangsheng, the magistrate of Jimo County, took the record in historical records that "I see Laozi today, and he is still a dragon", and renamed the cave "Youlong cave". There is a huge stone in front of the cave, which is engraved with the word "Ao Lao long Cang".
