Wang Jie Memorial Hall

Located in the memorial garden of the Southwest Shandong campaign in Jinxiang County, the Wangjie memorial hall is specially built for the hero Wangjie. It covers an area of 69 mu, with an overall construction area of 3000 square meters and a total height of 16.8 meters. The main building is supported by 48 pillars, symbolizing the heroic moment of Wang Jie's heroic sacrifice. Wang Jie, a hero of the times as famous as Lei Feng, is a good son of the Chinese nation. He has won glory and added color for the people of Jinxiang. He is the pride of the people of Jinxiang. The statue of Wang Jie in front of the museum is carved from white marble, up to 6 meters high. The name of Wang Jie memorial hall was inscribed by Zhang Wannian, former member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice chairman of the Central Military Commission.

Venue layout

Cui Yi, Vice Minister of Youth Department of Jinan Military Region at that time, inscribed the seven characters "willing to give youth to the people" on the first floor of Wang Jie Memorial Hall. Wang Jie once wrote in his diary: "we should not be afraid of hardship and death, and be fearless.". Later, "one is not afraid of hardship, two are not afraid of death" became the concentrated summary of Wang Jie's spirit. On the front of the preface hall on the first floor, from left to right, the party and state leaders Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping, Jiang Zemin and Hu Jintao spoke highly of Wang Jie's spirit, and there were large-scale sculptures of Wang Jie's heroic sacrifice.

The exhibition hall on the second floor is an exhibition of Wang Jie's life and deeds. The exhibition hall is full of red five-star shapes, grand atmosphere, calm and solemn, highly exaggerating and conveying Wang Jie's spirit, and fully reflecting the exhibition characteristics of the red theme Memorial Hall and patriotic education base.

Wang Jie is willing to give his youth to the people. He has fulfilled his oath with his life. Wang Jie has dedicated his youth and life to the Republic of China. On the monument of history of the Republic, Wang Jie's name will last forever!

Visit commemoration

After the completion of the Wang Jie memorial hall, people from all over the country came here to pay homage to it. In particular, on Tomb Sweeping Day and Party building day, more people come here to see and learn from martyrs and receive revolutionary traditional education.
