Longtang mountain is located in the west of Zhoutou Township and Shunxi Town, the southeast slope of Qingliangfeng and the scope of Longtang mountain (bordering Qingliangfeng Nature Reserve in Jixi and Shexian County of Anhui Province, with Qingliangfeng as the boundary). In August 1985, the provincial nature reserve was established, covering an area of 12223 mu, including 4636 mu of core area and 7587 mu of experimental area. The forest volume is 4433 cubic meters, and the forest coverage rate is about 95%. Qingliang peak, located at the border of Zhejiang and Anhui, is the highest peak between Huangshan and Tianmu Mountains, with an altitude of 1787 meters. It is known as the "roof of Western Zhejiang". Longtang mountain is a huge mountain with undulating terrain, fertile soil, warm climate and abundant rainfall. This unique microclimate provides favorable conditions for the survival and reproduction of various animals. In addition, due to the great difference in altitude and the obvious vertical distribution of vegetation, it contains the most abundant forest animal resources in Northwest Zhejiang. According to the preliminary investigation, there are more than 1800 kinds of plants in the reserve, and Liriodendron is listed as national protection It is mainly composed of four parts, i.e. wood, Lianxiang tree, Huangshan magnolia, Tianmu magnolia, Zijing, Yinque tree, xiangguoshu, etc. The wild animals listed as national protection include Sumen antelope, leopard, macaque, civet, black deer, Silver Pheasant, ring necked pheasant, etc.
