Danfeng gate is the main gate of Daming Palace, which is the highest level gate in Sui and Tang Dynasties. The five gates of emperor is the highest level gate. After the capital of Luoyang was moved to the end of Tang Dynasty, the city of Chang'an was reduced and the Daming Palace was reduced to ruins, and the Danfeng Gate site was exposed to the countryside for a long time. In the third year of Yuanfeng of Song Dynasty (1080), LV Dafang visited the sites of Chang'an City in Tang Dynasty and made a survey. He drew a total of four pictures of the capital city and the three palaces, which were carved on the steles. Now only the remnant stones exist. Among them, the Daming Palace in the picture of Chang'an city lost about one third of its northern part, while the Daming Palace only remained in the southern city wall and the nearby part. Fortunately, on these earliest extant pictures of Daming Palace, we can see that To see the logo of Danfeng gate. In the 11th year of Jiaqing (1806) of the Qing Dynasty, when Wang Senwen investigated the traces of Chang'an City and drew the capital map of Han and Tang Dynasties, he recorded that Wu (Wu) Men village was near the danfengmen site, which was the predecessor of Ziqiang village in today's new urban area. In the 1930s, the arrival of refugees from Longhai Railway to Xi'an and Huayuankou Yellow River flood area increased the population of danfengmen ruins and gradually became the urban area, forming Ziqiang Road, Erma Road, Gexin street, Tongjia lane and other streets. The part above the ground of the south wall of Daming Palace was gradually destroyed and disappeared with the intensification of people's life and production activities, and only a few remained The danfengmen site is more than 20 meters from north to South and more than 100 meters from east to west. It is still more than 2 meters higher than the surrounding ground. It is surrounded by modern dwellings, which is like an isolated island. On the high platform, there is a bungalow, which is a private clinic. There are many trees around it. It is called a garden. After the liberation of Xi'an in 1949, the clinic was nationalized and gradually developed into the Sixth Hospital of Xi'an. Under the joint management of the hospital and the cultural relics department, this important site was preserved.
