Jiaodong Peninsula seashore is located in the northeast of Jiaodong Peninsula, Shandong Province, including Yantai Penglai and Weihai Chengshantou on land and Changshan Island, Heishan Island, Miao Island, Liugong Island on the sea. It was designated as a provincial scenic spot in 1985. The Bay Cape in the area is full of twists and turns, undulating terrain, luxuriant trees, sea erosion landform such as natural sculpture, and rich cultural landscape. Penglai is famous for its mirage. Penglai water city is a well protected ancient naval base in China. Penglai Pavilion, located on the top of Danya mountain in the northwest of Shuicheng, faces the sea and is majestic. It is the place where the eight immortals cross the sea in myth. Changdao is known as "fairyland on the sea". Liugong Island in Weihai is a famous maritime town in China, where Beiyang Navy once established a base. Chengshantou is the "end of the earth" in the east of China. The terrain is very dangerous. Qin Shihuang visited it twice and left many historic sites. It is a famous scenic spot in the past dynasties. To the west is the famous horse raising Island, where the first emperor of Qin raised horses. Now it has been built into a tourist attraction.
