Qinjiang Manchu village

Qinjiang Manchu village is a village under the jurisdiction of Hangcheng street, Changle District, Fuzhou City. It is 4km away from the urban area of Changle district and 15km away from the mouth of Minjiang River. Minjiang River flowing through this section is like an ancient Qin, so it is called Qinjiang River. It is an important port for controlling Majiang city in ancient times. In the sixth year of Yongzheng reign of the Qing Dynasty, the Zhenmin general alsaizou asked the imperial court to dispatch 513 officers and soldiers from the old four banners to the Qinjiang River with their families to build the city and establish the "flag camp of Sanjiangkou Navy in Fuzhou". At that time, it was one of the four major Navy flag battalions in the coastal areas of China, 151 years earlier than the Fujian Navy in Mawei. The layout of the Navy's flag camp is similar to the eight trigrams of Taiji, so it is also known as the "eight trigrams city of bannermen". After the revolution of 1911, the Navy flag camp gradually became a small town.

Lin Zexu comes to Qinjiang

According to the records of Qinjiang, Lin Zexu came to Qinjiang many times. He wrote Lin Gong's ink treasure "Pingfan of the sea state" on the riverside Zhaobi. SA Zhenbing's inscription "Jiangcheng sea area" still exists today. Qinjiang's "Fuzhou Sanjiangkou navy" is the cradle of the Chinese navy. The most brilliant page of the Qinjiang River Division was to take part in the Sino French Majiang sea battle against the aggressors. Huang Enlu, the commander of the army, led the army to kill the enemy bravely on the ground that he would not accept the king's life outside. Among the 600 officers and soldiers, more than 100 died bravely. Later generations were ordered to build the "loyal soul hall" in the village and set up the martyr's Spirit card. So far, public sacrifices are held on the third day of July every year. Villagers spontaneously come to the riverside to deliver water lamps, cut paper and burn incense, and pay homage to the martyrs.

Qinjiang village is famous for its outstanding people. After the Westernization Movement, the young and middle-aged people of the Navy's flag battalion joined the shipping school one after another. After graduation, they grew into pillars of the Chinese Navy, including three generals and four colonels. For example, Jia Qin, a major general of the navy of the Republic of China who had a deep friendship with SA Zhenbing. In modern times, for example, Cao Weilian, the former vice president of the Hong Kong Branch of Xinhua news agency, Professor Huang Tingshu, the founder of China's maritime law, and Li Yuzhong, a landscape painter who won the title of world famous calligrapher and painter.

Qinjiang villager

Each of the villagers in Qinjiang knows three languages: Putonghua, Fuzhou dialect and Manchu "banner dialect". There is a folk cultural activity called "Taige" in the village, which has been brought by the ancestors of the flag people from the north for more than 200 years.

Qin River is also the place where Zheng He's seven voyages sailed out of Taiping port. There are Yunmen temple and Mazu temple built by Zheng He near the village.

Flagman Street

The whole flag camp covers an area of one square kilometer. It faces north in the South and the Minjiang River in the north. The oval wall surrounds the whole camp. The whole building is in the shape of "Hui". It is divided into 12 streets, 4 straight lanes and four gates in the East, West, North and south. The street layout here is like a labyrinth, crisscross, sometimes connected, sometimes closed. This is the need of street fighting in the age of cold weapons. Up to now, the streets of the Manchu village in Qinjiang still retain the pattern of that time, many ancient city walls and a gate are still there, and a "flagman Street" is still well preserved in the village.
