Kansu Township, located in the northwest of Xinjiang, belongs to Xinyuan county. It was founded in 1984. Kazakh language means a wide river.

Kansu township is located in the east of Xinyuan County, 48.5km away from the residence of the people's Government of the county, between Nalati mountain and abrel mountain. It is high in the East and low in the west, wide in the north and narrow in the south, forming a triangle.

The geographical coordinates are 84 degrees east longitude and 43 degrees north latitude, with Nalati in the East, qiapu River in the South and Nalati grassland across the water; areletobe town in the West; abreel mountain in the north and nilak County in the north, with a length of 29 km from north to South and a width of 27 km from east to west.
