Turtle mound

It's named for its shape like a turtle lying on the water. The island is 250 meters long and 80 meters wide. The whole island is composed of quartzite with exposed bedrock. The surface of the sunny slope has weathered soil layer with luxuriant grass. The lush green contrasts with the earthy brown of the underlying rock, like a huge turtle shell buckled on the turtle. A rock protrudes from the west head of the island and is connected with the body of the island, like the head and neck of a turtle.
