Cailiangshan

Located in the northwest of Datong City, it is one of the eight scenic spots in the cloud in the past. In ancient times, it was called Hezhen mountain, Hegan mountain and caiyao mountain, which is the afterblood of Yinshan Mountain. Cailiangshan mountain is steep with abundant plants, clear springs and green forests. The mountain is inhabited by birds such as grey Finch, stone chicken and falcon, and small animals such as squirrels and rabbits can be seen from time to time. Astragalus membranaceus, Cornus officinalis and other traditional Chinese medicine grow in the mountain. The mountain is rich in natural resources, including lead, zinc and other mineral resources. The famous scenic spot is Hongshiya. There is a Taoist temple under the red stone cliff, named taixuan temple.

Cailiangshan

Cailiangshan mountain is round, with flat top and extensive development of proluvial and slope deposits at the foot of the mountain, covering a total area of 649.1 square kilometers. In the north, it faces dapanliang mountain in Inner Mongolia; in the west, it faces xisiliang mountain; in the southwest, there are other branches of Mapu mountain.

General situation of Dili

The mountain slopes from northeast to southwest. Tang Zhaozong has a poem that says "why don't birds fly away to have fun when they freeze to death at the top of Yigan mountain". It is famous for its steep peaks, abnormal cold and snow in winter and summer. "Xiyan snow" is one of the eight Yanggao sceneries, with the chant of "horse hissing all over the top of the silver mountain, birds tired of flying jade branches". Architecture

There are Cailiang temple, Bixia palace, dizang temple and the tombs of vassal kings in Ming Dynasty. Now cailiangshan Hongshiya has become one of the famous scenic spots in Datong. There is a Taoist temple under the red stone cliff, named taixuan temple. It was founded in the Republic of China, destroyed during the cultural revolution, and rebuilt by GE Dao in the 1970s. There are two floors in total, the upper main hall is dedicated to Laozi, and on both sides are the Antarctic fairy and the medicine King Sun Simiao. The main temple at the lower level is composed of three officials in the middle and Shouxing and Guanyin on both sides. Gilded roof, carved beams and painted buildings, red walls and green tiles are dazzling.

The mountain is densely forested, medicinal materials are everywhere, flowers are brilliant, and the scenery is pleasant. It has become a summer resort. There are tombs of nine Ming Dynasty kings on the mountain. According to the records of Datong County, "the tombs of Ming Dynasty's vassals are Wang GUI, Li Wang Xun, Yin Wang Shi De, Yi Wang Jun Zhang, Zhao Wang Yun Yao, Gong Wang Ting Qi, Ding Wang Nai Xuan and Cailiang mountain; the tombs of Hui Wang Cheng Liao, Si Wang Congmo and Mapu mountain.". According to field survey, at the foot of Mapu mountain, which is 5km to the east of Datong City, it starts from Gucheng village in the west, passes through South Yanzhuang village and Xifen village to the northeast of dongfen village, and stretches 3.5km from east to west. It seems that nine mounds of 8-10m in diameter and 4-5m in height are arranged in an arc.

The past glory was destroyed by Manchu people

At that time, the building was spectacular, the underground tomb was grand, and on the ground there were red walls and green tiles of the hall, stele Pavilion and stone carving stele square. Besides, there are households guarding cemeteries. Dongfen village and Xifen village are the places where the tomb keepers live. After the Qing soldiers entered the pass, the buildings on the ground were burned.
