Shengyuan building

Shengyuan building is located in the middle section of tietasi street, Central District of Jining City. A huge iron bell is suspended in the building, which strikes the iron bell and rings through the whole city with a sound distance of more than 10 Li, so it is called "Shengyuan building".

Shengyuan building was built in the middle of Northern Song Dynasty. In the Wanli period of Ming Dynasty, Gong Mian inscribed the plaque of "shengyuanlou" on the Daotai of Jining City, hanging in front of the eaves on the second floor. The script is bold and spectacular.

The Shengyuan building is built on a 4.5-meter-high platform, with a height of 16 meters. It is a two-story square building with 11 ridges and cross roofs. It is supported by 12 square stone columns at the bottom and 4 sky columns at the top from bottom to top. The four eaves of the upper and lower floors and the surrounding space are supported by brackets. The roof is covered with grey tiles, and the ridge is decorated with a series of birds, animals, etc. At the top of the center, there is a unicorn with an East tail and a west head, angry eyes, and a treasure gourd on its back. The whole building is carved with beams and painted buildings. It is a pavilion style building of brick and wood structure with steep eaves and strong wind. There are wooden stairs in the building, which can be lifted up.

Shengyuan building: Shengyuan building was built in the heyday of the middle Northern Song Dynasty. A giant iron bell, 2.2 meters high, 4.5 meters in circumference and 7.5 tons in weight, is hung on the upper floor of the building. It was made in the Song Dynasty. The sound of the impact is "loud and loud, and it shocks all things with thunder. It can reach nine days on the top, nine places on the bottom, and four places on the bottom". The sound quality is rich and loud, and it can spread ten miles away. Therefore, this building is named "Shengyuan building".

The giant bell is 2.2 meters high, 0.2 meters thick, 4.5 meters long and 7.5 tons heavy. It was cast in Song Dynasty.
