Kashgar people's Square

Kashgar people's Square is located in the center of the city, along Renmin East Road in the north and people's Park in the south, covering an area of 12 hectares. It is the only square with the statue of Chairman Mao Zedong as the center in Xinjiang. It is a cultural square integrating Kashgar political gathering, sports and entertainment, tourism and recreation. In 1998, with the approval of the Publicity Department of the Party committee and the Civilization Office of the autonomous region, it was included in the patriotic education base of the autonomous region.
