Jiahe Town, located in the southwest of Panji District, has jurisdiction over 11 villages, 46 natural villages and 114 villager groups, with a total area of 43.16 square kilometers (2017).

Jiahe town belongs to Panji District of Huainan City. It was restructured from Jiahe Township in December 2010. The town is adjacent to Huaihe River in the south, Qiji in the East, Fengtai in the west, Luji and Tianji in the north. The town is named after Jiahe river.. The total construction area is 725200.74 square meters, including 63859.5 square meters of public buildings. Among them, 30697 mu of arable land and 27883 people (in 2017) were cultivated.

Historical evolution

Jiahe commune originally belonged to Fengtai County and was under the jurisdiction of Panji District in 1975. In 1983, it was changed from Jiahe commune to township. In 1992, it was merged into Tianji Township, and in 1995, it was restored to Jiahe township. In 1997, with an area of 47 square kilometers and a population of 27000, it has jurisdiction over 11 village committees in DIYing, Xiaoying, Niji, nanyangji, Xinwei, Qianjia, wumiao, sutu, Xianfeng, Wangwei and Huaibei.
