Man Gui Town

Mangui is a homonym of mengkuyi River, which is named for its location on the South Bank of mengkuyi river. Mangui town is administratively under the jurisdiction of Genhe City, Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It is located in the north west slope of Daxing'an Mountains. Its geographical coordinates are 122 ° 09 ′ 00 ″ E and 52 ° 02 ′ 30 ″ n. The district covers an area of 3902.95 square kilometers, and the town covers an area of about 5.46 square kilometers. It borders Mohe city and Tahe County of Heilongjiang Province in the north and East, faces Alongshan town in the South and Erguna city in the West.

In December 2018, Mangui town was selected as "2018 forest China · discover forest culture town".

Mangui town is the site of Mangui Forestry Bureau (county level) of national large second grade forest industry enterprise.

Evolution of organizational system

In 1959, Niuerhe Town People's Committee was established, and the Mangui area was under the jurisdiction of Niuerhe people's Committee. In August of the same year, Inner Mongolia Forestry Administration decided that Genhe Forestry Bureau was responsible for the preparation of Mangui Forestry Bureau.

In 1961, the preparatory work of the forestry bureau was suspended and changed into a forestry unit.

In November 1962, the Preparatory Office of the forestry bureau was cancelled.

In 1964, the preparatory work of the Forestry Bureau resumed.

In 1965, the Manchu gwenk nationality township was established. The township government was stationed in Manchu gwenk, and the Manchu gwenk area was still under the jurisdiction of Niuerhe town.

After the establishment of Erguna Left Banner in 1966, the Manchu people's Committee of Ewenki nationality township was under the jurisdiction of Erguna Left Banner.

On November 10, 1966, Mangui Forestry Bureau was officially put into operation, but many construction projects were not carried out due to inadequate investment.

In 1968, the town of Mangui was established. The town of Mangui was integrated with the Ewenki township of Mangui.

In 1973, Mangui town and Aoluguya Ewenki Township were set up separately. The government of Aoluguya Ewenki township was moved to Aoluguya, 17.5 km north of Mangui town.

In 1980, the Revolutionary Committee of Mangui town changed its name to the people's Government of Mangui town and was stationed in Mangui.

On December 29, 2003, the ecological resettlement project of Aoluguya Ewenki Township in Genhe City was completed. According to the reply of the document {Nei civil affairs approval (2003) No. 65} issued by the Department of civil affairs of the autonomous region, Aoluguya Ewenki township was moved southward to the third workshop (3km away from Genhe City). The original administrative area of 1096 square kilometers was assigned to Mangui Town, and the total area of Mangui town became 3072.81 square kilometers.
