Dashilan

Dashilan (D à sh í L à NR) is a famous commercial street outside qianmenwai in Beijing. Now it also refers to a plot including Dashilan street, Langfang Toutiao street, commissariat Shop Street and Meishi street. Located in the center of ancient Beijing, Dashilan is an important part of the south central axis. It is located in the south of Tiananmen Square and the west of Qianmen Street, with a total length of 275 meters from the east entrance to the west entrance. Since 1420 (the 18th year of Yongle in Ming Dynasty), after more than 500 years of evolution, it has gradually developed into a commercial street full of shops. 36 stores in 11 industries are distributed in Dashilan.

Li Han and his "painting and building society" with a small force, in the way of architectural caricature, selected ten locations around Yangmei Zhuxie street, extracted all the stories and plots through the interviews with the parties. Ruixiang silk cloth in Dashilan street, a time-honored shop, was founded in the 19th year of Guangxu. The five-star red flag raised at the founding ceremony was made of this cloth. Ma Juyuan hat shop, founded in the 22nd year of Jiaqing, was the leader of Beijing hat industry in the late Qing Dynasty.
