Yuyinyan, also known as baopuyan, is located in jinxiangping village, xunzun Town, Nanzhang County, Hubei Province, 90 kilometers away from the county seat. Yuyinyan block faces south in the north, and Nanzhang Yuan'an highway passes in front of it. Yuyinyan cave is 11 meters deep, 15 meters wide and 10 meters high. It is the origin of heshibi in legend.

Historical evolution

It is said that in the spring and Autumn period, Bian he, a native of Chu, found a piece of jade Pu here and presented it to King li of Chu. The king identified it by jade craftsman, who said it was a stone. King Li judged its left foot for the crime of bullying the king. When King Wu ascended the throne, Bian he offered jade again, and still judged his right foot for the crime of deceiving the king. When King Wen ascended the throne, Bian and Baoyu cried at the foot of Jingshan mountain. King Wen sent someone to ask him, he said, "I am not sad elbow also, sad husband jade and title with stone, Zhenshi and name with lie." King Wen made people dissect Pu and got Baoyu, which was called "heshibi". After Qin Shihuang unified the six states, he took this jade as the imperial seal. In the 33rd year of the Republic of China, Xu Changlin, Lieutenant General of the Kuomintang Garrison Army, engraved "jade seal rock" on the top of the rock, and wrote a stele in front of the rock.

The yuyinyan limestone cave is 1m deep, 19m wide and 10m high, with three natural steps. There is a square stone cave on the right wall of the stone steps, which is said to be an old trace of Bian he's taking jade. There were seven stone tablets on both sides of the cave. Most of the inscriptions were about Bian he's offering jade. Now there are only one stone tablet in Ming Dynasty and one in Republic of China. The trees on the top of yuyinyan are towering. Another hundred steps, there is a huge cave, which can hold more than 200 people. There is a sweet spring at the top of the cave. There is a pool at the bottom of the cave, 25 meters in circumference. The water in the pool is clear to the bottom, and the cliff above the pool is flying in the air. Bianhe temple was built beside the pool. It is the former site of Bianhe residence and is now abandoned. Yandong is the tomb of Bian he. Fenghuang terrace has beautiful scenery, facing yuyinyan across the river. Yuyinyan has steep peaks, lush pines and cypresses, deep caves and flowing streams. Since the Tang and Song Dynasties, there have been many poems written by literati. The old records contain 17 poems written by literati. In Tang Dynasty, poet Hu once wrote in baopu rock: "before Baoyu rock, the osmanthus leaves are thick, and the cold water of Bixi river flows to this day. The setting sun on the empty mountain and the sound of the ape are urgent. It is suspected that the Jing people are still crying. " Feng Zhefu (former interior minister of Hubei military government during the 1911 Revolution) wrote a poem by you yuyinyan: "where is he Shi Bi? He Shi Bi's biography of baopu rock. He who cherishes treasure is afraid of being slandered by jade workers. "
