Shaoguan Road

Shaoguan road in Qingdao used to be the longest north-south road in Badaguan community, from Hong Kong West Road to Shanhaiguan road seaside park. At the beginning of liberation, the reception committee acquired the private house on Shaoguan Road, and later assigned it to Qingdao sanatorium and Qingdao communication department. Most of the buildings on Shaoguan road were built in the 1930s and 1940s. The biggest change of Shaoguan road is in the south end. The abandoned road has built Badaguan auditorium and Badaguan hotel main building. Now only two thirds of the road is left.

Bitao is the roadside tree on Shaoguan road. It is densely planted and has various colors. When it blooms in April, it becomes a sea of brilliant flowers, where tourists gather and are intoxicated. Shaoguan Road, Hong Kong West Road, a small garden, there are several cherry trees in the green forest, cherry blossoms in full bloom.

He Jingzhi, a famous poet, wrote in his poem "a walk in Badaguan": "the peach and the cedar pass several times, and the beacon fire and smoke are in a trance. When you arrive at the resting place of Luoying, you can see the white gull fighting the sky and the sea. He Jingzhi's poem is really written with real feelings.

According to the records, most of the buildings on Shaoguan road were built in the 1930s and 1940s, which was later. Most of the people living on Shaoguan road were Chinese and Japanese, while few were European and American. This is different from other "passes". Among the old masters of Shaoguan Road, No. 54 is Wu Yifan, No. 48 is Chen Xiuzhen, No. 17 is Russian yulidao, No. 49 is Hao Jingyu, No. 52 is Tang Qinnan, No. 26 is Wang Pingfan, No. 28 is Japanese Xingye, and No. 2 is Mrs. Sofia. Among these buildings, No. 28 is a German style building with unique features; No. 26 is called sister building together with Juyongguan Luther's "Princess building", although the former is Danish style and the latter is Japanese style.

No.54 Shaoguan road is the East Asia Hotel built by Japanese. It is a hotel. In Badaguan community, it is all single buildings, except here. Fortunately, it is located at the intersection of Zhanshan and on the edge of Badaguan, which does not damage the overall style of the community. The hotels built by the Japanese in Qingdao are mainly "harmony style", but here are "western style", and the grade is also higher. The hotels in the early stage, such as Qingdao hotel, were occupied by the military during the "World War II", so they became high-grade hotels. Li Xianglan, the most famous Japanese film star and singer at that time, came to Qingdao to perform and lived here. Japanese fans came here. Now the old hotel has been transformed into the office building of the "democratic revolution", "Democratic League", "democratic construction" and other democratic parties in Qingdao.

No. 8 used to be a Japanese capitalist's mansion in the peninsula. He was a powerful figure among Japanese entrepreneurs in Qingdao at that time.

At the beginning of liberation, the reception committee acquired the private house on Shaoguan Road, and later assigned it to Qingdao sanatorium and Qingdao communication department. The buildings assigned to Qingdao communication office were changed into guest houses, which later became "rongshao Hotel", and now belong to Badaguan hotel; the buildings assigned to Qingdao sanatorium are No. 24, 48, 49 and 50, which were once assigned to the fourth treatment area of Qingdao sanatorium, and the office and medical service for the fourth treatment area are on No. 48. Later, due to the homonym of "four" and "death", the four treatment areas were cancelled and changed to one treatment area.

The biggest change of Shaoguan road is in the south end. Badaguan auditorium and main building of Badaguan hotel were built on the abandoned road.

Hangu road and Shaoguan road form a "Ding" intersection. No. 4 used to be the residence of the president of Qingdao daxinmin daily. However, Wang Dulu, the writer who continuously published martial arts novels such as crouching tiger, hidden dragon and so on, only lives in a humble room on Ningbo Road.
