Huang Binhong Memorial Hall

Huang Binhong (1865-1955), whose original name is Zhi and the character is simple, was named Binhong. He is a well-known modern landscape painter. He has done a lot of research on the history of painting theory and painting. He died in Hangzhou in 1955 and was buried in Nanshan cemetery. Before his death, Huang Binhong donated all his collection of gold and stone paintings and a large number of his posthumous works to the state, and his memorial hall was reopened after restoration in 1959. Huang Binhong's paintings and calligraphy are on display in the museum. There are tung trees planted by Huang Binhong in front of the hall, green Ying on the cliff behind the house. Huang Binhong memorial hall is located in the former residence of Huang Binhong, No. 31, qixialing, Xihu District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It was founded in May 1987 and officially opened in October 1987. The museum is located in Huang Binhong's former residence in tandu village, Zhengcun Town, Shexian county. The museum's names are inscribed by calligrapher Lin Sanzhi and painter Zhang Ding respectively. There are more than 70 pieces of cultural relics in the museum, including Huang Binhong's late works, living utensils, photos and ink of celebrities such as Lin Sanzhi and Zhang Ding.

Mr. Huang Binhong is a famous master, collector and connoisseur of modern Chinese painting in China. He was born in Shexian County, Anhui Province (1865-1955). He has enjoyed high reputation for decades in his life. He is a figure highly respected by colleagues in the field of Chinese painting. Before the Qing Dynasty was overthrown, he held the revolutionary ambition, first organized "Huang she" in Shexian County, where he was from, and then joined the "Nan she" organization, which was famous all over the country. He stood up with patriotic poets all over the country to publicize the revolution. At that time, there were many good painters among the members, but my husband was recognized as second to none. Mr. Wang has many brilliant theories and unique views on the principles, sects and FaDu of traditional Chinese painting. In view of the achievements of Huang Binhong's life, Huang Binhong memorial hall was founded in 1987 and opened to the outside world.

Huang Binhong's former residence

Huang Binhong's former residence covers an area of 657 square meters. It is a Ming and Qing style building with brick and wood structure. The house and living scene of Huang Binhong in that year are preserved. The main building has three couplets, downstairs is the reception hall of Binhong thatched cottage, and the East and West are bedrooms; upstairs is the Shizhi Pavilion, and the studio is on the right side of the corridor of the thatched cottage, which is a study and painting room. The right door of the thatched cottage hall is connected to the "Hongfei Pavilion on the ice". There are pools, flower beds, gardens, kitchens, warehouses, etc.

In April 2015, Huang Binhong's former residence in Shexian county was awarded one of the "top ten former residences of celebrities" in Huangshan City.

The main building of the new hall is an ancient building of Ming and Qing Dynasties, with brick and wood structure, covering an area of 600 square meters, including 400 square meters of exhibition hall. There are three exhibition halls: one is "Huang Binhong's art life exhibition", which consists of exhibition boards, objects, historical photos and electronic broadcasting.

It fully shows Huang Binhong's artistic experience and patriotism. The second exhibition hall is the exhibition hall of Huang Binhong's works, displaying Huang Binhong's calligraphy and painting works in various periods. The third exhibition hall is a temporary exhibition hall with different forms of exhibitions every quarter. Its content is also closely around the "love the motherland, love home" as the theme of painting and calligraphy, photography exhibition.

The memorial hall is equipped with two professional commentators. In addition to explaining Huang Binhong's life, it focuses on explaining Huang Binhong's life of loving the motherland in combination with Huang Binhong's painting language.

The basic Exhibition "Huang Binhong's art life exhibition" is a comprehensive introduction to Huang Binhong's art life and achievements with exhibition boards, photos and objects as the main body. "Huang Binhong's written works exhibition" uses the reproductions in the collection as exhibits. The highly realistic works reflect Huang Binhong's painting level and his position in the Chinese art circle.

Collection Management

The collection comes from family members' donation, collection (purchase), etc. The collection is classified into calligraphy, painting and real objects. According to the collection statistics, there are 4 pieces of Huang Binhong's paintings and calligraphy, and more than 30 pieces in kind. The important collection is a work of Huang Binhong in his later years. It is the best landscape painting of Huang Binhong and the treasure of the museum. In terms of collection protection, in addition to displaying physical objects and copies, all collections are handed over to the County Museum warehouse and kept by professional personnel.

Organization setup

Huang Binhong memorial hall is a public institution with full financial allocation. After it is opened free of charge, it will be allocated by the central special fund. Organization: curator, deputy curator, storage and display department, office. At present, there are 4 staff, including 1 undergraduate, 1 junior college and 2 technical secondary school. There are 4 professional and technical personnel, including 1 with intermediate title and 3 with primary title. Seven employees were employed, mainly administrators, commentators and security personnel. It receives tens of thousands of people every year.

Honors

In October 2009, Huang Binhong memorial hall was listed as a free open unit by the state. In 2011, it was named Huangshan patriotism education base. In 2015, Huang Binhong's former residence won the title of "top ten celebrities' former residence" in Huangshan City.

Major events

From 2011 to 2012, with the active efforts of the competent authority, more than 1 million yuan was invested in the comprehensive maintenance of fangshizai ancient residential building in daguijing, and a new Huang Binhong memorial hall was established. Meanwhile, the new hall was fully decorated, exhibited and displayed, with an exhibition area of more than 400 square meters. It was officially opened to the public free of charge on the world cultural heritage day on June 9, 2012.

In April 2015, Huang Binhong's former residence in Shexian county was awarded one of the "top ten former residences of celebrities" in Huangshan City. On April 14, an awarding ceremony was held at Huang Binhong's former residence in tandu village, Zhengcun town. Wang Jianxin, vice chairman of the CPPCC, attended the ceremony.

From November 18 to 19, 2016, he successfully held the "flying on the ice" - the original works collected by Huang Binhong's 150th birthday Museum and the academic invitation exhibition of contemporary famous calligraphers and painters. The exhibition displays more than ten landscape works of Huang Binhong in different periods collected by Shexian Museum and Huang Binhong memorial hall, as well as more than 100 works of national famous calligraphers and painters specially invited.
