Balangshan pass

Balang mountain is located in the east of Xiaojin County, the junction of Xiaojin County, Wenchuan County and Baoxing County, more than 200 kilometers away from Chengdu. Balang mountain, 5040 meters above sea level, is called balang La in Tibetan, meaning shengliu mountain. The mountain above 4000 meters above sea level in the scenic area is a cold and weathered mountain. The mountain is craggy, with exposed rocks. Debris slopes and rock heaps formed by rock debris falling down the cliff can be seen everywhere. The winding road is the most dangerous road to the east of Aba Prefecture. On the mountainside at 3500 meters above sea level, there are various kinds of wild flowers scattered on the alpine meadow, and groups of cattle and sheep in the blue sky and white clouds I feel at ease. The vast sea of clouds divides the majestic mountains into two parts: the alpine meadow with wild flowers on the top and the mysterious virgin forest on the bottom. Standing on the top of the mountain, I can see a long Canyon full of wind and clouds. There are also wonderful pines in the valley, hanging in the dense forest of virgin forest. The sea of clouds in Mt. balang, known as a unique place, has the wonder of wind surging. Known as Erqi, there are clouds with a thickness of up to 2000 meters, which are ever-changing, rolling and surging like dragons, as well as mountain crossing clouds with softness and rigidity, sharp howling, powerful and irresistible. The balang pass is 4500 meters above sea level, which is a good place to watch the sea of clouds and sunrise. Balang mountain is called "abalangyi" in Tibetan. According to local myths and legends, "abalangyi" is the father of four girls. The main peak of balang mountain is 5040 meters above sea level, and the pass passed by it is 4523 meters above sea level. It is one of the famous kilometer pass with higher altitude in China. When you drive through this place, you can enjoy the mountain ridges on the plateau, enjoy the kilometers of twists and turns, and feel the thrill of self driving.
