Li Guyan

It is one of the fourteen scenic spots in Mianshan. It has a long history, splendid culture and picturesque scenery. There is a saying in Qing Dynasty that "thousands of you rock, thousands of you rock, the most beautiful is Li Guyan". The temple here was built in the Zhenguan period of Tang Dynasty. The temple is like a palace, the statue of Tang Dynasty has been preserved for thousands of years, and the place where the imperial aunt practices is as comfortable as heaven.

Li Guyan

Li Guyan, also known as huangguyan, is a rare tourist attraction in China because of her becoming a monk. There is still a record of xiuliguyan written by Jiexiu Liang Zhongyu in the 17th year of Shunzhi in the Qing Dynasty: "Mianshan rock is famous for liguyan.". According to legend, in the 15th year of Zhenguan (641), Princess Changzhao, the younger sister of Emperor Taizong of Tang Dynasty, accompanied the Buddha. At this point, she built the house and burned it for a year. She died on Jue'an, where later generations molded her statue for sacrifice.

Located in the west of Longjiling, liguyan is a natural giant cave with a length of more than 200 meters, a depth of more than 20 meters and a height of more than 30 meters. The temple is divided into two floors. The pavilion built on the mountain has its own characteristics. Among them, there are Huanggu hall, Sakyamuni hall, Guandi hall, dulongwang hall, Luohan hall, Sanshen Buddha Hall and other places of interest.

The nine sculptures in the hall are all relics of the Tang Dynasty, which are very precious. Huanggu building was the place where Li Gu practiced meditation in those days. The settings and murals in it represent the style of the royal family of the Tang Dynasty. The origins of the other halls are related to Li Gu, inheriting many touching legends.
