The strata in the scenic area are ancient, and the main exposed strata are the Cambrian early and Middle Cambrian strata formed 500 million years ago. It is mainly limestone and dolomite, with shale in some areas. The geological structure in the scenic area is complex. The main landform of the scenic spot is low and middle mountain gorge. Due to the huge drop between the plateau and the basin and the active external force since the third century, the terrain is strongly cut, forming a natural landform with strange peaks and deep valleys. In addition, a large area of low carbonate outcropping has good solubility, creating a unique karst scenery of Zijiang scenic spot. It was opened to tourists in 2000. The river valley of Zijiang scenic spot is 14 km long and covers an area of about 25.4 square kilometers. With the canyon scenery on both sides of the Zijiang River as the main line, and the precious and peculiar travertine shell landscape as the feature, it integrates waterfall spring well, strange peaks and rocks, primitive vegetation, Buyi customs and other landscape. Lingu waterfall is 200 meters high and 6 meters wide at the top. It is multi-level and has water all the year round. The lower part is divided into many bundles, which is very beautiful. It looks like a fairy in white running between the cliff peaks, with elegant and graceful skirt. In the process of water flow falling, multi-level travertine is formed, either as a hall or curtain. There are many sceneries and large scale. The river is clear, the valley is wide and narrow, and the mountains on both sides are about 150 meters high. Six "Little Dragons" walk through the steep slopes and the woods, appearing and disappearing between the bamboos.

You can take the minibus to xintianzhai at the back door of Guiyang Normal University, and there is No. 253 bus to xintianzhai at the railway station. It's about two hours' drive from xintianzhai to Dashi, or from Guiyang to Kaiyang.
