Macao Mazu Cultural Village

Macao Mazu cultural village is located in dieshitang mountain, Luhuan island. It is invested 200 million Macao dollars by Macao Chinese Mazu foundation. It took three years to build in 2003, covering an area of 6200 square meters. The main buildings are the statue of Mazu and the palace of heaven after heaven.

Macao Mazu Cultural Village

Macao Mazu cultural village is a Mazu Cultural Village planned and built by Macao Chinese Mazu foundation. Its main building, Tianhou palace, was inaugurated earlier. The architectural style of Tianhou palace is designed and built according to the traditional regulations of Chinese ancient architecture. It is a tourism facility integrating the ancient architectural art, religion, folk custom, culture, leisure and other values in Southern Fujian.

Village introduction

On December 10, 2003, the project of dressing building of Tianhou palace, a cultural village, was also held. The dressing house is the daily living place of Mazu. It is an important part of the Tianhou palace complex. It is also a necessary building for the layout of large Mazu temple. It is built according to the ancient architectural style of Southern Fujian. It is a two-story antique Pavilion, mainly of stone and wood structure, with an area of nearly 3000 feet. It is planned to be completed by the end of March 2004. According to the traditional layout of the dressing building, the statue of Guanyin will be placed on the second floor for pilgrims to worship. After the completion of the dressing building, the construction of Queen's palace in Macao Mazu cultural village was also completed.

Located at the top of dieshitang in Luhuan, the Tin Hau palace covers an area of about 7000 square meters. The whole building consists of four buildings: corridor, pavilion gate, altar, main hall and dressing house. On both sides of the building, there are bell tower, Drum Tower and veranda.

The temple complex of Empress Dowager Temple starts from the corridor beside Gaoding road. The corridor is composed of six groups of steps. In the middle of the steps are inlaid with auspicious patterns such as large blue stone relief or opencut double unicorns, double lions playing ball, tiger roaring picture, five crane Tongxi, double phoenix peony, double dragon playing ball, etc. to Shicheng in front of the mountain gate.

The gate is a pavilion style memorial archway of wood and stone structure, with two big stone lions sitting on both sides. There are a pair of blue stone dragon pillars on the front porch, high and low eaves, antique buildings on the top of the mountain, wooden bucket arch row building, golden glazed tile roof, and Minnan style swallow tail ridge. The ridge top is made of all kinds of colored porcelain, and the Dragon grabs the Pearl. The whole Mountain Gate row building is painted with all kinds of colored paintings between the beams and eaves, which is colorful, beautiful and magnificent.

The main hall of Tin Hau palace is also made of wood and stone. The golden glazed tile roof is equipped with a southern Fujian style swallow tail ridge. The top of the ridge is made of colored porcelain "double dragon pagoda". The cornice is decorated with various kinds of scissors and curled grass. Six blue stone reliefs are built on the front of the front of the hall, and a "Jiulong Shengyun" relief stone is embedded in the middle of the steps. The appearance of the whole hall is magnificent. The front porch of the main hall has eight circular openwork blue stone dragon pillars and a large number of stone carvings. The doors and windows of the main hall are red and painted with a large number of patterns implying happiness, auspiciousness and happiness. Most of the color paintings between the beams and columns of the main hall take the story of Mazu as the theme, depicting gold, thick color and magnificence. A sitting statue of Mazu, 3.8 meters high and 2.1 meters wide, is worshipped in the hall.

In addition to Tin Hau palace, there are also Peak Park and Mazu statue on the top of the mountain. Tin Hau palace is open from 8 am to 6 pm every day.

To facilitate visitors and shinshinshin to Macau Mazu cultural village, Macau China Mazu foundation has set up a shuttle bus between shipaifang parking lot and Tianhou palace parking lot at the foot of Shitang mountain.

The Portuguese and English name "Macao" of Macao is the Cantonese pronunciation of "mage" (Mazu Temple). There are more than 100000 people of Fujian nationality in Macao, and Mazu is regarded as their patron saint.
