Dieyuan Civic Square covers an area of 105000 square meters and is designed by Tongji University. The square is built on the former site of the butterfly garden. It is named "Butterfly Garden", which is very elegant and appropriate. In the overall layout, "one axis, two sides and three points" is adopted, that is, "the main axis of landscape, the small face of butterfly pool, the main square of butterfly garden, the commercial and leisure square at the entrance, the hydrophilic square, and the historic site of Kuixing Pavilion on the wall of Song Dynasty" as the main body. The water platform and the approach bridge are integrated to make people feel the special water moistening of the water town. The green design of the square fully reflects the artistic conception of "flowers and butterflies come from their own". Nearly 40 varieties of flowers and trees are planted, including beech, Cinnamomum camphora, Osmanthus fragrans, plum blossom, Paradise grass, etc. Stop and see, the square is full of green grass, colorful butterflies and colorful fountains; listen slowly, the flowing water is murmuring, the dance music is dancing, the birds are singing and the warblers are singing among the green trees, which makes people relaxed and happy.
