Tianzhong cave

Located on the half slope of Tangba stone forest, the cave is 828.5 meters long and 38.2 meters deep. The widest part is 38.6m. The narrowest part is only 1.3m. The highest is 53.4 meters and the lowest is 1.5 meters. The whole cave is 762-800m above sea level. Most of the tunnels in the cross section of the cave are triangular, and the bottom of the cave is covered with calcium carbonate and sediment. Calcified deposits are not very developed, but the shape is vivid, and the road in the cave is flat and observable. The stalactites in the cave are mainly made of animals, including crocodile hall, Golden Rooster hall, beast hall and rhinoceros hall. In the cave, there is a bell like a bronze bell, which is upside down on the ground. The bell body is covered with fine stone milk, just like tadpole writing. It is said that this is the "legal provision" of the animal kingdom, so the name of the bell is "Tianzhong" and the name of the cave is derived from it. 　

Tianzhong cave is developed in limestone and dolomite of Upper Carboniferous (about 300 million years ago). The cave was first formed in the Neogene (23.3 million years ago): in the early stage, it was the channel of the lower Huanghou underground river. In the middle stage, due to the tectonic uplift, the river cut down, and the cave became the underground channel of Yuanyang Lake. In the late stage, with the further uplift of the structure. The River continues to cut down. The underground water transfers into the lower layer and becomes a dry cave.

The hall of beasts is large and wide, which can accommodate more than 100000 people. There is also a courtroom in the hall. The weather is very strict, and all animals are silent.
