Xuhui Art Museum

Based on the profound historical and cultural accumulation of Xuhui District, Xuhui art museum is a public welfare cultural institution that disseminates advanced culture, collects fine arts, carries out academic research, holds exhibitions and popularizes aesthetic education. Xuhui art museum was originally the site of Hongying library. Hongying library was founded by Huang Yanpei and Shi Liangcai in the 13th year of the Republic of China. It was first called Jiazi society. Its location was not here, but on Nanjing West Road. In 1931, he moved to this place. Xuhui art museum is located at 1413 middle Huaihai Road, with a construction area of 754 square meters, a garden area of 404 square meters and an effective exhibition area of 600 square meters. It is equipped with exhibition hall, multi-functional lecture hall, art salon and other supporting facilities. It is a platform for foreign cultural exchange in Xuhui District.

Located at No. 8, Tianlin East Road, the Tushanwan Art Museum of Xuhui art museum is a three story oval steel structure building with a total area of 1500 square meters and an exhibition area of 1000 square meters. Tushanwan Art Museum mainly displays and displays fine arts at home and abroad, and explores new artists. It is a public cultural place integrating art exhibition, art exchange, academic research and other functions.

history

Xuhui art museum was originally the site of Hongying library. Hongying library was founded by Huang Yanpei and Shi Liangcai in the 13th year of the Republic of China.
