Yangji town is located in the southwest of Funing, bordering Jianhu in the East, Chuzhou in the West and BAOYING across the water in the south. The town has a total area of 76.8 square kilometers, including 41000 mu of arable land and 35000 mu of Dangtan. The town has 9 administrative villages, 2 neighborhood committees and 101 Village (neighborhood) groups with a total population of 38600.

Yangji town is known as "the first town in the southwest of Fuyi" and "Shajiabang in the middle and north of Jiangsu". Yangji town has become a famous tourist attraction in central and Northern Jiangsu. CCTV's "all over China" column team has come here to shoot the "people on water" style film and introduced it to the world on four international channels of CCTV Shao.

Yangji town has convenient transportation, with Xinchang railway in the north, Beijing Shanghai Expressway in the west, Yancheng International Airport in the East, Coastal Expressway, and only 1km away from Funing railway station.
