Longhushan Nature Reserve is located in Long'an County, Guangxi, 36 kilometers away from the county seat and 83 kilometers away from the western suburbs of Nanning, with a total area of 21 square kilometers. The highway from Nanning to Daxin, Jingxi, Pingxiang and Yunnan runs through the scenic area, and the traffic is very convenient.

Brief introduction to the nature reserve

The reserve was founded in 1980 and was listed as a scenic spot and nature reserve of the autonomous region in 1987. The main protected objects are precious medicinal plants and karst landscape in karst area.

There are 1145 kinds of plant species, including 713 kinds of medicinal plants, including Meideng, Qingtiankui, Guangfangfeng, yizhihuanghua, ganliezhi, etc. The state-level protected plants include Camellia chrysantha, Prunus canadensis, Corbicula and Anoplophora adiposa, and the state-level protected animals include black leaf monkey, macaque, champion rhinoceros, Python and pangolin.

Monkey watching is one of the major attractions in the reserve. There are more than 2500 macaques now. They are distributed on the roadsides, bridgeheads and along the river to welcome guests. They are lively and lovely. They can play with tourists, take photos and have endless wild fun.

The main scenic spots now open in the reserve are: monkey playing in deep mountains, cave wonders, fairies in green sea, stone forest bonsai, green river boating, Zhuang family bamboo house, etc. In addition, the attractive Yinyang cave, lingzhi cave and Shuilong cave need to be developed.
