Shenquan Grand Canyon

In the south of Yanggao County, Shanxi Province, there is a famous deep ditch Shenquan YAOGOU Shenquan Grand Canyon, which is called Dagou by the local people. It's no exaggeration to call shenquanyaogou a big gully. The average depth of this huge gully on the Loess Plateau is more than 50 meters, and the deepest is 60 meters.

Shenquanyaogou is composed of many tributaries. From high altitude, it looks like a giant antler or a large tree fork, which is magnificent. Because the ditch is wide and deep, there are only a few catwalks to go down the ditch, which is extremely difficult. Local people have a ballad: "Shenquan kiln ditch is ten thousand feet deep, birds are sad, no one can trace, if you want to jump ditch with dry food, or starve to death in mid air."

The original natural ecology of Shenquan YAOGOU has not been destroyed. At the bottom of the ditch, there are trees, a hundred grasses, birds and insects, which are full of infinite vitality. In the ditch, several springs trickle down to form a stream and flow far away. Small fish swim in the stream, water and grass swaying, frogs sound. Especially in winter, the spring water is not frozen, and a kind of duckweed like clover grows in the stream, which is green and lovely. It has become a great spectacle in shenquanyao valley. In summer, the grapes, golden apricots, apples and other fruit trees planted by fruit growers in the ditch are neat and beautiful, and the fruits are plentiful and coveted.

As the biological chain in the gully has not been destroyed, there are many kinds of birds and animals, including weasels, ferrets, badgers, foxes and bobcats. Birds include magpie, pheasant and stone chicken. The most striking birds are crows, crows and crows.
