South Wudang Mountain scenic spot is located in Wujiashan National Forest Park, Yingshan County, Huanggang City, Hubei Province. Wusheng palace, the birthplace of Wudang Southern Sect, is a Taoist palace composed of nine palaces and three courtyards. It has unique royal garden style and magnificent momentum. history

Southern Wudang has a long history and many legends. It is said that the first emperor of Qin Dynasty dismounted here to pay homage, Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty granted it the title of "ancient mountain Hengshan". Lu Dongbin, an immortal of Tang Dynasty, and Zhang Sanfeng, a Taoist master of Ming Dynasty, all lived here. Dashan is the throat of Hubei and Anhui, the fortress of Jianghuai, known as "the first pass in the southeast of Wu and Chu". It is the intersection of Jianghuai culture, Wu and Chu culture, northern and southern culture, and Taoist culture.

Longtan Valley, the first valley in Central China, originated in the south of the main peak of Dabie Mountain. The gorge is deep and dangerous, and the stream is winding. It integrates "strange, dangerous, secluded and beautiful" in one valley, with nine pools and eighteen waterfalls.

Scenic culture

South Wudang Mountain is located at the south foot of Dabie Mountain and in Yingshan County, Hubei Province. It is the watershed between the Yangtze River and the Huaihe River and the boundary between the north and the south. In 2002, you Xuande, the leader of Wudang's ancestral court, came to Wujiashan in Yingshan County to create the Taoist Holy Land of Wudang Mountain, following the Sanfeng's motto that "the southern vein must be opened in 500 years". In October 2003, the Management Committee of South Wudang Mountain Scenic Area hosted the first international cultural tourism festival of South Wudang Mountain in Yingshan, China. So far, Wujiashan has officially changed its name to South Wudang Mountain.

South Wudang Mountain is a bright pearl of Dabie Mountain, and eco-tourism has become "the supporting point of tourism in Eastern Hubei and the back garden of Wuhan". Tiantang peak, the main peak of the Dabie Mountains in Yingshan, is 1729.13 meters above sea level. Sima Qian said in historical records that this mountain is divided by North and south, and is the throat of Hubei and Anhui, and the fortress of Jianghuai. It is known as "the first pass in the southeast of Wu and Chu". The scenery here is as colorful as Lushan Mountain, Emei Mountain, Zhangjiajie and other famous scenic spots. Dabie Mountain has long been associated with Taoism. Only in Yingshan County, there are many Taoist relics. In history, there are many legends about Zhenwu, Sanfeng and Lvxian showing their spirits and practicing here. There are as many as 150 Taoist places, including Yifu (Dongyue), Yiguan (Taiyi), yilou (Kuixing), Ertang (Sanguan, Minglun), ERTA (Longzhu tower, Lianghekou tower), SiGe, Sitan Forty nine temples (Yuhuang temple in the north and Xianrentai in the South), seventy-four nunneries and eleven palaces (seven wusheng palaces dedicated to Zhenwu emperor and Zhang Sanfeng). The rise of Southern Wudang is the inevitable result of the return of history and the development of the times. It fills the gap of Taoism in Eastern Hubei religious tourism. As a famous Taoist cultural Holy Land in China, the birthplace of Wudang Nanzong, China's future Wudang martial arts base, and China's largest summer health tourism center, it integrates the landscape and human resources of Yingshan classic scenic spot, with the main peak of Dabie Mountain In the middle, there is Wudang wusheng palace in the south, and in the lower, there are the first valley in Central China and Tianchi Lake in Dabie Mountain, forming a line of beads, which has injected vitality into the development of culture, economy and tourism in Dabie Mountain area.
