Chunguang Village

Chunguang village is an administrative village under the jurisdiction of Chunguang village, Changqiao Town, Zhangpu County, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province. It is located in the middle of Changqiao Town, adjacent to Changqiao village in the west, Qingguo village in the south, Tanyang village in the north and Dongfang forest farm in the East. The stream from Xiaxi and Lizhilin of Qingguo village flows to Chunguang village and joins with the stream from luoshanwei via Daoqiao. It is a branch of xiaonanxi upstream.

Evolution of administrative districts

During the period of the Republic of China, it was under the jurisdiction of changqiaobao. In the early days of new China, it was under the jurisdiction of Changqiao Township, 11 districts. In September 1958, on the basis of Chunguang agricultural cooperative, Chunguang brigade, which belongs to Changqiao commune, was established and now belongs to Chunguang village of Changqiao town. The village governs Nanpu, kuzai, Guihu and Xialiao. A total of 330 households, 1375 people, including 166 households in Nanpu, 702 people; 105 households in kuzai, 412 people; 14 households in Guihu, 55 people; 45 households in Xialiao, 206 people.

Origin and development of surnames

In Nanpu society, the surname of Huang is the main one, while the surnames of Wang, Chen and Guo are few. Huang's surname comes from the same Changqiao village.

The family name of kuzai society is mainly Fang, whose ancestor originated from kuzai society in Bipu (Xiapu Village), Dongsi Township, Longhai.

Guihu society is mainly based on the surname Lin, whose ancestor comes from Wushi.

In Xialiao community, the surname of Huang is the main one, and there are surnames of Lin, Chen, ye and Wang. Huang's surname comes from the same Changqiao village.

Economic situation and infrastructure

The village has 1088 mu of arable land, including 947 mu of paddy field, 141 mu of agricultural land, and a large mountainous area. Water is abundant. The main agricultural products are rice, citrus, litchi and other fruits. The power supply is normal. TV sets and telephone sets are basically popular among farmers. Students go to Changqiao Central Primary School.

Scenic Spots and Historical Sites

Nanpu village, on the hill to the south of Nanpu community, was built by villagers in Ming Dynasty to resist bandits.

Xikou nunnery, in Guihu community, worships Buddha.

Siji building is a double circle three story round earth building built in Qing Dynasty.
