Fengyi Academy

Fengyi Academy was founded in the 19th year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty, 200 years ago. It is the largest existing historic Academy in Taiwan. Fengyi college is located on Zhongzheng Road, Fengshan District, Kaohsiung City. Historical evolution

Fengyi Academy was founded in 1814 by Zhang Tingqin, a year-old Gongsheng elected by Fengshan marquis. It was a place for students to study in ancient times, and also an examination place for year-old students. It was rebuilt by Lu Er De Xiang in 1891. After the Japanese occupation period, the houses of the Academy were gradually destroyed and used by the tenants after the restoration, which seriously damaged the pattern of the Academy. There are also the screen wall, entrance wall door, head door, lecture hall, back hall and some nursing rooms, all of which are the original objects of Jiaqing period in Qing Dynasty.
