The Pearl River levee is located on the North Bank of the Pearl River in Guangzhou City, with east-west trend. Along the Changdi road and Yanjiang Road, it starts from Beijing South Road in the East and connects Renmin South Road in the west, about 2km long. At the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, it was the Pearl River channel. Later, due to the aggravation of sedimentation along the Pearl River, the river beach developed. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, it became a land. It was one of the prosperous commercial areas in Guangzhou, known as the Bund of Guangzhou. It was a good place for leisure and walking.
