Memorial to the meeting of Liu and Deng armies

The memorial to the meeting of Liu Deng's army is on the campus of weizhai middle school.

In August 1947, Liu Deng's army leaped into the Dabie Mountains, opening the prelude of the PLA's transformation from strategic defense to strategic counter offensive. During the implementation of the Dabie Mountains strategy, the rear command post led by commander Liu Bocheng moved out of the Dabie Mountains in December and came to Han's hometown in Linquan.

On February 24, 1948, the front command post led by Deng Xiaoping political commissar turned out of Hubie mountain and came to weizhai. After 75 days, they met with the rear command post led by Liu Bocheng.

In 1991, the county government set up a monument here.
