Longtan Grand Canyon Scenic Spot is the core scenic spot of national AAAAA scenic spot, National Geopark and Daimeishan World Geopark. It is a Canyon Scenic Spot with typical geological and geomorphic landscape of hongyanzhang Valley Group. It is also the fifth national AAAAA scenic spot in Luoyang.

Luoyang Longtan Grand Canyon Scenic Area is a unique scenic spot in the world. It is surrounded by guanxia and Lianzhu waterfalls. The gorge is beautiful and the valley is secluded. After 1.2 billion years of geological deposition and 2.6 million years of water flow cutting and whirling erosion, it has formed a high gorge, Weng Valley, mountain collapse and ground fissure spectacle. It is rare in the world. It enjoys "the first gorge of ZhangGu in China", "ancient marine natural museum", "gorge top-notch" and "Yellow River water painting" And so on. Another scenic spot with the same name: Liaoning Longtan Grand Canyon Scenic Spot, located in laodazhangzi Township, Jianchang County, Liaoning Province.

Historical evolution

From 2004 to 2006, Daimeishan achieved "triple jump", from unknown to World Geopark stage;

From 2005 to 2007, the Longtan Gorge Scenic Spot of Daimeishan Geopark was established as a national AAAA scenic spot in only three years. Longtan Gorge Scenic Spot is the first scenic spot developed by Daimeishan Geopark in the world.

Longtan Grand Canyon Scenic Spot is located in Shijing Township, Xin'an County, Luoyang City. It is 60km away from Luoyang City in the East and 180km away from Zhengzhou. Lianhuo expressway, national highway 310 and Longhai railway cross the county. It is located between 34 ° 36 ′ N and 35 ° 05 ′ n, and 111 ° 53 ′ E and 112 ° 19 ′ E.

Climatic characteristics

Luoyang Longtan Grand Canyon Scenic Area is a warm temperate continental monsoon climate with four distinct seasons. The annual average temperature is 14.2 ℃, the frost free period is 216 days, and the annual average precipitation is 642.4 mm.

Longtan

The real water dragon pool can be seen when the dragon pool comes down from the ridge, along the stone steps to the East, or from the Dragon King cave, climbing the rocks to the East. Longtan is unfathomable. People use stones to tie ropes, thread live fish, and divers wear diving suits, but they can't reach its end.

 

Longtan Gorge

Longtan gorge is located at the top left of the "Ya" shaped gorge, which was formed by several hundred million years of internal and external geological processes. The canyon is 648 meters deep, 210 meters wide and 22.5 kilometers long. There are Longtan waterfall, golden gourd waterfall, natural Buddha, turtle stone and many other landscapes in the canyon.

 

Golden gourd waterfall

Qingqing is close to the foot of the cliff and converges again. The white spray is rolling and spiraling into the bottom of the valley. At the exit of the waterfall, the space formed by the cliffs on both sides is like an inverted golden gourd, which is named "golden gourd waterfall".

 

Longtan waterfall

The torrent of water gushes out from the mountain pass and flows down to the bottom of the valley from the cliff nearly 20 meters high. The famous Longtan is just above the cliff, thus forming the "Longtan waterfall".

 

Shilin Gorge

Located at the top of the "Ya" shaped stone in the Three Gorges, it is named because the mountains in the gorge stand like stone forest. The stone forest, which is 8 kilometers long and 150 meters wide, is also one of the most beautiful landscapes in the whole scenic area. The whole gorge is surrounded by mountains, water flows around the mountains, and towering peaks row upon row. In the canyon, you are attracted by the Antarctic fairy waterfall, milky way splash, baguixian pool, jade python, elephant mountain, lovers peak, etc.

Antarctica Fairy Falls, climbing to the east side of the hillside, looking back, opposite the peak, the top of the protrusion of green and white rocks, like the forehead of Antarctica fairy. Eyes, nose, mouth shape, also known as "tumbler".

 

Yingwo Gorge

Yingwo gorge is an extended gorge after the confluence of Longtan gorge and Shilin gorge. It extends to Qinglong County, Hebei Province, with a total length of 12.5 kilometers and a width of 200 meters. Walking south into the mountain gate and looking down on the cliff, there is a stone pillar, which is called "worry forgetting peak". Above this worry forgetting peak is a huge rock that is difficult to climb, and below it is a ten thousand Zhang cliff. However, the cliff stretches out a huge stone bar to connect with another cliff. It is really a "miracle of the world" created by nature.

 

Hongyan Gorge

Hongyan gorge is a branch gorge of Longtan Grand Canyon. In the southeast of Longtan gorge, the inside of the gorge is red, the stones in the gorge are red, and the leaves in autumn are red, so it is called "Hongyan gorge". Hongyan gorge has two tributaries: Hongyan gorge and Qingyan gorge. During the Anti Japanese War, in 1942, it was the first grass-roots organization of our party in Northeast China, the dayinggou Party group. It is the political and military command center in the hot east area of western Liaoning, the birthplace of revolutionary public opinion, and has the reputation of "little Yanan in western Liaoning".

 

Buddha light Luohan cliff

The cliff of Luohan cliff in Foguang is composed of dense medium thick quartzite sandstone and loose thin argillaceous sandstone. The columnar joints in the medium thick quartzite sandstone are well developed, forming a series of stone pillars perpendicular to the rock.

The spheroidal weathering of sandstone makes the stone column look like arhat; the refraction of light makes hundreds of glittering Arhats arranged on the cliff in four layers, forming this rare natural wonder.

 

Giant fingerprint

Many wave marks in the Longtan gorge are formed by the migration of sandy sediments on the surface of sediments under the action of water or wind. They are very similar to water waves.

 

Giant fingerprint is a typical interference ripple, because its texture shape is like human fingerprint, so it is named giant fingerprint.

The book of heaven on stone is a kind of landscape formed by different weathering.

On the surface of medium thick quartz sandstone, there are often thin bedded argillaceous sandstone or argillaceous siltstone, which collapse and expose the surface. Under the effect of differential weathering, some of them are weathered and lost, and some of them are left to form various patterns. "One person, one stone" is one of the most typical patterns.

Jellied bean curd

Xinan's bean curd and Leshan Chengdu's bean curd are absolutely different. A pot of boiled bean curd paste is very thick. Pour in a bowl of tender bean curd, smash it with a big iron spoon, mix it well, take a bowl, add soy sauce, monosodium glutamate, pepper powder, chili oil, ginger and garlic juice, peanuts, crisp soybeans, pickled mustard, scallion, and then pour in a small cage of flour to steam beef or crisp meat.
