Hongshan village is the first "national civilized village" in Huadu District. It is located in the west of Timian Town, 4km away from the central urban area of the town. It is a new rural construction demonstration village in Guangzhou.

Hongshan village has a solid foundation and beautiful environment. The village has an area of 14.5 square kilometers, and has 9 villagers' groups. The registered residence population is 1047, and the total number of households is 240. The county road leading to Prince Hill runs through it, with convenient transportation. There are many enterprises in the village, such as HuaQuan tofu flower factory, barreled water plant, hydropower station and so on. The villagers mainly planted rice, vegetables, peanuts and other economic crops. The village collective planted 220 mu of white olive, 150 mu of prickly ash and 100 mu of bamboo shoots. The village is a characteristic village of rural tourism, with sightseeing wooden corridor, wooden pavilion, gray plastic, Drum Tower and other scenic spots. Every year, the peach blossom and rape flower festival receives guests from all sides, which promotes the village's rural tourism, enlivens the villagers' economy, improves the villagers' income, and receives 50000 tourists every year in the peak season.

In 2004, the mud and stone factory of the whole village was closed. In recent years, Timian town has invested more than 10 million yuan to develop tourism in Hongshan village.
