Hunchun City Museum was established in 1959, with the cultural center office. In 1963, the people's Government of Hunchun county decided to suspend the museum organization of Hunchun County, and the museum work was performed by the cultural center. In 1979, the provincial people's government officially approved the establishment of Hunchun County Cultural Relics Management Office. In 1989, the people's Government of Hunchun city approved the establishment of Hunchun City Museum, and the Hunchun city cultural relics management institute implements a set of people, and is responsible for the two tasks of the cultural relics Institute and the museum.
