Development history

Located in Ji'an City, Jilin Province, the Koguryo cultural relics tourist attraction is a relic of the Koguryo Dynasty in a slavery country. Including the domestic city, marudushan City, Mausoleum (14) and noble tombs (26).

Under the management of Ji'an Municipal Bureau of cultural relics, Ji'an Gaogouli cultural relics tourist attraction was founded in 1983. It has five scenic spots: Ji'an Museum, Haotaiwang stele (including Taiwang Mausoleum), Jiangjun tomb, Yushan noble cemetery and Marudu mountain city, with a total area of 857679 square meters. On July 1, 2004, the royal tombs and noble tombs of Koguryo were listed in the world cultural heritage list.

Koguryo Royal City, royal tombs and noble tombs mainly include wunvshan City, domestic city, marudushan City, 12 royal tombs, 26 noble tombs, Haotaiwang stele and No. 1 accompanying Tomb of general's grave. Domestic city and Marudu mountain city (originally named as weinayan city) are the capitals of early and middle Gaogouli (1-5th century A.D.), which are characterized by the mutual dependence of plain city and mountain city. On the Tonggou plain surrounded by mountains, there are nearly 7000 Gaogouli era tombs, Donggou ancient tombs, which can be called the top of the ancient tombs in Northeast Asia. It can not only reflect the historical development of Koguryo from different aspects, but also the precious cultural and artistic treasure left by Koguryo.

In January 2020, Koguryo cultural relics and historic sites tourist attraction was determined as a national 5A tourist attraction.
