Sai Kung Country Park

Sai Kung country park is divided into two country parks, Sai Kung East and Sai Kung West. The two parks cover a total area of 7500 hectares. Four country park management stations are set up in the area to develop facilities, manage country parks and even put out mountain fires. 　　

Some of the most popular tourist spots in Sai Kung country park include Wong Chuk Wan, Tai Wong Tsai, Pak Tam Chung, Sai Wan and Wong Shek pier. The picturesque Zhangshang plateau is most popular among hikers and campers.

Some barbecue sites are set up on the side of Dawang Tsai road between Lang Ching and Wong Chuk Wan, which is suitable for tourists and families. In addition, the "health and injury paradise" in Pei Tam Chung provides unique facilities for outings to achieve the goal of "health and injury together". The Sai Kung Country Park Visitor Centre is located in North Tam Chung. There is a photo exhibition in the centre to introduce the natural environment, rural development, details of the water supply plan of Wanyi reservoir and the features of the country park in Sai Kung. There is also an audio-visual room to show a short video tape to introduce the concept of country park and nature conservation. The centre also provides information on the facilities and activities of the country parks in Sai Kung.
